Hi,
Since updating to 10.3 I’m experiencing Sync problems when syncing to O365/outlook.com. I’ve tried the usual fixes of deleting my ‘outlook.com’ account and recreating it but the problem remains. eMClient 10.3 is running on Windows 11Pro 24H2. Symptoms are that messages do not sync through to client. When you choose ‘Sync’ in eMClient sync just runs but messages don’t come through. If you shut down eMClient and restart it then messages to sync through. Has anyone else experienced this problems? Would welcome hearing of any suggestions for a fix or furhter investigation. Many thanks.

Sometimes receiving mail issues can be related to eg: Optionally installed Firewall/ Security programs or Optionally installed Antivirus programs or VPNs. So if you have anything like that installed other than what comes default with your OS, try completely disabling those to test.
Many thanks for the suggestion. I’m not using a VPN or any 3rd party antivirus - just standard Microsoft Defender. I’ll continue to track problem. One possibility is that it is related to sleep/wake. I’m not 100% sure yet but will advise when I have further information. Just to check account settings … looking at the account settings for my Outlook.com account in eMClient, it shows IMAP, SMTP and Airsync all selected but the IMAP and SMTP settings are greyed out and not available for selection. Is this correct?
If the SMTP and IMAP are ghosted under Services, that means that account is set as the default.
Ok. Understood. Should SMTP and IMAP be set for an O365/outlook.com account or is it just Airsync that should be set? If just Airsync presumably I should set one of my other accounts as ‘default’ [to unghost SMTP/IMAP] and unselect SMTP and IMAP?

Yes IMAP and AirSync “should normally be enabled” for O365/Outlook.com type accounts.
IMAP is needed to receive mail.
When you have AirSync enabled, SMTP is not actually needed so you can disable that tickbox if you like. AirSync enables sending mail and also syncs calendars and contacts.

Yes you have to make one of your other accounts as default to enable or disable IMAP & SMTP.
Thanks for the clarification. I’ll track performance and see if having both SMTP and Airsync selected contributes to the problem.
AirSync overrides SMTP when they are both checked / enabled, so that won’t be the problem.
Sounds like something external / outside the mail client causing It to only receive / sync when you shutdown and reopen eM Client.
When it doesn’t sync, click the dropdown on the right of Refresh and then click Show Operations. Then click the “Log” tab and look for any obvious error messages and paste them in this thread. We might then be able to see why its not synching.
Thanks for your helpful advice. Performance seems to have settled down now and sync is working correctly.
