When i start the program, it starts synchronizing and gets stuck there. Was working yesterday ok. Tried another email program and my emails download. so problem definitely with Em Client. Any suggestions please? I did re-install and repair but still no luck. Using version 6.0.20648.0 on Windows 8. program has been working well for 3 weeks before up until today
Hi Alan, can you please try to update to this version of eM Client http://www.emclient.com/dist/v6.0.20748/setup.msi and check if the issue persists?
If it does, are you seeing any errors from the application? Are you using a proxy/firewall or an antivirus software with mail protection on your computer?
Thanks, i installed the update but no difference. No errors were displayed at any time - just stayed stuck synchronising. I did however manage to get it to work again finally by changing the imap settings security policy. Mine was setup on “don’t use security connection” and i changed it to “use ssl/tls if available” and now it’s working. Weird to me as my email had been working fine for weeks using the no security setting.
Hi again Alan, this might have been caused by some server settings that may have been changed by your mail service provider.
