I’m using mailwash and I’d like to keep EM client from ever checking the mail automatically. I’ve found the two entries under synchronization and unchecked them. However, EM client will still check the mail by itself. I don’t want it to check the mail until mailwash has a chance to deal with it 1st. Is there somewhere else I need to look?
If you have an IMAP, Exchange, Office 365 or iCloud account “you carn’t disable those accounts on startup” in eM Client due to the nature of those type of accounts.
The only way to disable those type of accounts on startup would be to “hide them altogether” but then you wouldn’t ever get any mail.
If you have a POP account you can disable the account from starting up automatically when you open eM Client via going to “Menu / Settings / General / General” and unchecking download messages from pop3 accounts on startup and also uncheck synchronise items every x mins as per the first example screenshot below.
Also for a POP account go to “Menu / Accounts” and click the General tab and at the bottom under Services “uncheck the box marked Include when sending / receiving emails” and save accounts as in the second screenshot example below.
