I used a provider’s email service for a while, and the IMAP Keywords feature (aka Tags in eM Client) worked perfectly.
However, I have since switched to my own STALWART mail server.
Standard flags like \Seen and \Flagged still work great. But custom user labels (aka Tags) have stopped working; they are no longer visible. Interestingly, the Thunderbird client sees them just fine when working with the STALWART server. This leads me to conclude that eM Client has an issue with the STALWART IMAP server. Could you please look into and resolve this problem?
It has been over a week since I posted my question, and there hasn’t been a single comment. It is very strange—is working with tags really that unpopular?
A forum search brought up this information from back in 2023: “eM Client does support IMAP Keywords (aka Tags in eM Client) on specific IMAP servers.”
It seems the Stalwart mail server is not included in those " specific IMAP servers."
This is quite disappointing, especially for those of us who use the paid version of eM Client.

Sounds like either a setting on your Stalwart server or an incompatibility with your server.
Suggest you contact official Support to find out as this is only a free community user forum.
So if you have a current active paid Pro, Personal or Business version go to the VIP support page and login with your registered email address and password at the top left and lodge a support ticket and link this thread in your ticket.
Apart from that other user community forum users who use Stalwart mail server might reply.

“Currently, you can take advantage of tag sync with Gmail, IceWarp, Exchange, Dovecot, and Imageway accounts as per the below blog.
I don’t know if Stalwart server has now been added for Server Tag sync since the below blog was written, but Official Support will advise on that.
