Some Emails are hidden

Hi, since updating to 10.0.3530 some of my incoming emails seem to be hidden. They do not appear in the tree view along with other emails to the same account. I have seen a notification of a new message in the bottom right corner of the screen (Windows 10) and not have it show up in emclient. BUT if once I know there is an email (by checking my phone) and I search for the senders address the ‘hidden’ emails show up in the search results. If I view the properties of these emails it shows: Folder: Local Folders/inbox.
Account: Local Folders
Category: Forums

They are not normally visible in the inbox.
Some have different categories. When I search the documentation for Category all I get is Tags.
I have I accidently some sort of hide filter?
Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks in advance, Lance.

If you elected to use Categories during the installation, have you looked for the messages in the other Inbox category tabs?

If you later decide not to use categories, you can disable them in Menu > Settings > Mail > Categories.

Please see our video here which highlights the new features.

Hi Gary, thanks that fixed it. I didn’t consciously select to use categories, but I might have just clicked through during the update.
I was just about to post that I found my emails in the favorites.>Unread folder. This confused me even more.
The first post I found about categories said they are at: Menu>Tools>Categories. This was dated 2010, so they have obviously moved since then.
The as I said earlier the online help dose not even find the topic after a search. Perhaps the documentation could be improved to hep others? When I had categories enabled I did not see any tab for categories.

Anyway thanks for your prompt assistance, Lance.

The unified folders like Unread may not have Categories displayed, so you see all messages there.

We have not yet released the version 10 Documentation, so new features in 10 won’t be listed in the one that you get. It is coming soon.
