Smtp cannot connect toserver

I am constantly receiving error messages smpt cannot connect to server. I can’t tell if my emails are being sent or not? they keep appearing in my “unread” box

I have tried restarting my modem, rebooting my laptop - what else can I do?

You can start by giving details of your settings and connection provider.
IMAP, POP etc…

Ive checked all my settings - they are correct and no problem with connection from nbn provider on anything else.

As it just started working today and you didn’t change anything and rebooting didn’t help yesterday, then sounds like it was an external server or external connection issue and nothing to do with eM Client.
