I was selecting sections in the aforementioned menu and I guess I deselected them all. So now there’s no menu available. It’s a blank space now and I can only switch between ‘Contact Details’, Agenda, Notes, etc. using keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl + Shift 1, 2, 3 and 4).
Right clicking in the right sidebar doesn’t offer any option to bring back the menu and I haven’t seen nothing in the settings to manage the right sidebar (except to expand, to minimize or to hide it). Am I missing something here?
No, there is no setting to get it back.
However, when you export your eM Client settings, almost everything except display settings will be in the file. So try this export/import procedure:
Backup eM Client using Menu > Backup (just in case)
Export settings using Menu > File > Export > Export settings to xml. Make sure ONLY the Settings option is selected in the list.
Close eM Client
Delete C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\eM Client\settings.dat
Restart eM Client
Cancel any setup-type popups.
Import settings using Menu > File > Import > eM Client settings xml. Select the file you created in step 2 above.
