4 partitions, 3 OS partitions, and 1 data partition. EMclient is installed on 3 OS partitions sharing a common database on the data partition. Theme and local Folders do not seem to be shared - what am I missing?
Thanks Jeremy
You can’t share the database between different installations. Each installation of eM Client needs its own database, stored in %appdata%. Or you can store it elsewhere, but each separate installation of eM Client needs its own database.
Thank you Gary; I can see where some settings are not shared in a shared database but a shared database is very valuable for local folders. All local data folders is shared by all OS partitions.
Thanks Jeremy
Unfortunately you can’t share a database between different installations of eM Client. It may cause errors and loss of data. Each installation needs to have its own separate database. If you want to share data between different devices, you can make use of IMAP or Exchange servers to store the data online, and access it from multiple devices.
Hi Gary, the only thing that is not shared in a shared database is the theme; I am constantly resetting the theme is each partition. Can you see anything else that might not be shared>
Thanks Jeremy
