I just had to reinstall em Client after a rebuild and my university account (an alias) was missing. It took me quite a while to work out how to do it. I found the answer here. Setting up an alias should be included in the setup instructions. Account setup is quite simple, but this was difficult to find help for. Should this account be there after a restore?

aliases should indeed be saved in the back up. Can you tell me what mail service does your university account use?

The university uses Google for the ‘real accounts’.
My account is an autoforward account
alikayn (a) alumni.unimelb.edu.au
The account is working fine now.
