Sent Messages folder

I had to reinstall emClient, since then my Sent messages do not appear in the Sent Folder?
Not been able to locate where the “Save copy of sent messages in “Sent” folder” option is in the Settings.

Go to “Menu / Accounts” and click on your account on the left and then click the “General” tab along the top.

You will then see the option part way down under Send section to save a copy of sent messages to sent folder as per the example screenshot below.

That is where it used to be but that option is not there in the version 10.4.4195!. I’ve checked my system is up to date and it is.
On the accounts page there are only headings for Copies and Services, there is no Sent heading.

That is still correct for a eg: Yahoo and iCloud account.

What account type do you have ?

I upgraded to 10.4.42 this morning and still the tick box option does not come up. I’m using gmail. Never had this problem before.

Accounts like eg: Gmail, Live, Outlook as far as i know “normally the sent messages just appear” after sending them and no longer need the tick box in the General Tab and why its not there. If thats not correct someone will update this thread.

I would suggest if you are using the default Gmail IMAP Setup, to go to “Menu / Accounts” and “remove and re-add your account” via the automatic account wizard and see if the sent message then appear. As could be something went wrong when eM Client updated previously.

Also go online to your Gmail account and make sure you can see the sent messages there.

Also check online in Gmail settings that “Show in IMAP” is enabled for your Sent folder.
