When I try to send an e-mail through my gmail e-mail account it stays in my outbox and is not sent , I have another e-mail account and have no problem. Any ideas as to what is wrong?
You can try completely disabling your anti-virus/firewall or VPN and try again.
Otherwise, look for any SMTP error in the Log tab in Menu > Operations

I am having the same trouble. Inbound gmail is fine. Outbound errors off with the following error –
“Connecting to Gmail failed
[SMTP]An attempt to connect to Gmail failed. This could be caused by temporary server unavailability or incorrect settings.”
I do not believe I have changed anything. Just stared mid-morning ET.

Otherwise it may just be a temporary error as the message suggest.
I have insured that I have no antivirus running and the firewall is off hopefully it will remedy itself.
