I am after a specific email from a specific person whose name is in the email body. Let’s say their last name is Smith. I type Smith in the search bar for the current folder. No results. I know where the email is, so I open it, highlight the word Smith, copy, and paste it into the search bar, and still get no results.

You need to define your search:
1./ Click in the search field, this will expand
2./ At right edge click ‘V’ chevron and make your choice
3./ To the right of the ‘V’ click the ‘dots’ make yor choice
4./ You can now make your defined search
