Search fails to match sender name

I find that the search box in the toolbar omits many obvious matching messages. In fact it does not appear to look in the From: field at all. I have 20 messages in my inbox from myself and none of them are found by searching on sonander in sender.

Searching in Subject, sender and body does appear to match body text ok, but even this search does not seem to look in the From: header.

Below is the full message for an email that fails to match a search of sonander in Sender in case the developers want to look at this. I assume these searches are done in the client.

There may be a clue in the blank line that appears part way down in the headers below. There is no blank line in the text I copy/pasted from, and the line starting b= was indented by the same number of spaces as the following lines in the source of this copy/paste.

Hello, we know about this issue. In released version eM Client only find results when searching in from field when from starts with search string, so there is no good way to search for a domain or surname etc. Good news is that this issue is already solved in our internal builds and will be released with v. 2.6 (approximately March 15th).

It’s still not fixed as for 2.6.77
