Rules don't apply from junk folder

Some emails which are sent to my emailaddress are placed in the ‘Junk’ folder. They are sent from an automated system, so I can imagine this. I made a rule to send these to another folder, but that doesn’t work. Is ths because of the junk folder?

Yes, that is because Rules do not apply to the Junk folder.

The best option for this is to open your webmail interface for that account, select one of these messages in the spam folder, and mark it as not spam. Thereafter the server should leave messages from that sender in the Inbox.
