imap tests bad and can/t connect to server, checked with my ip provider and all m setting are correct, works some times and sometimes not.   deleted the emclient and reinstalled it. still the same.

Uninstalling eM Client will not remove the account settings. If you go to Menu > Tools > Accounts and remove the problem account, then add it again using the Automatic Setup. See if that makes a difference.

If not, can you provide the settings you are using to connect to that provider? Host, port and security policy. Maybe someone using the same provider can assist you getting it working.
