Removing email tags

I just updated to the new eM Client and I found the tags a bit distracting, since it shows every message as “important”. Is there a way to turn this off? The display of the important tag in this case that is.

This is not working for me despite selecting NEVER. Still getting an IMPORTANT tag next to incoming mail that has a rule and a separate tag attached.

Well, the setting only removes the Important tag from being displayed in the Gmail folders.

It doesn’t remove the tag.

So if the Rule moves the message to another account folder for example, it will display the Important tag in that folder.
