Recovery after HD crash not going well

So this is a long story. I’ll try and make the long story short… Laptop and HD fried without proper backup. Sent out HD for recovery and I now I have the contents of:
C:\Users\Leon\AppData\Roaming\eM Client

I downloaded and installed Version 6.0.24432 and after some instruction here, learned that the folder was a hidden folder. Following instruction, I copied the recovered folder and tried to get going.

Now that I’ve done that, every time I reboot my PC and every time I try to access EM, it starts a database check on mail-fti.dat and then shuts down with an EM Client Application Error. I really like EM but it doesn’t seem to want to work for me! It goes into a loop when I shut it down and I can never manage to keep the program running. What to do?

I am terribly sorry for this late answer, are you still experiencing this problem?
Have you started with a new database? If not, can you update to this version - http://www.emclient.com/dist/v6.0.249… and copy the message if it still pops up?

Hi Leon,
try to completely uninstall eM Client first before running the install again.
If that does not help, it might be better to start with a clean database, because tthe files could be corrupted.
