I was running the purchased eM version 5.0.19406.0 when I had to reset my laptop to factory settings - maintaining the partitions I’d created so that only C: drive had been re-initialized. Data in partitions other than C: are intact (I’ve accessed them from other programs).
On the advice of eM Support when I bought eM, I installed and then copied the entire eM directory from the default [C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client] to a partitioned M: drive where I install all programs. I ran eM from M:
I have the last copy of eM (which I purchased) before it was upgraded to the currentand re-installed using that, but the installation requires me to recreate folders which would clearly replace the existing ones which contain my saved messages.
How do I access the saved folders and messages still sitting on my M: drive? I don’t know how to ‘point’ the reinstalled eM to M: drive or how to reconstitute the database so that it’s accessing the messages I saved there?
While eM appears to run from M: Windows seems to need the registration files to be recreated by reinstallation (into the default C: drive).
PLEASE HELP!
