Some things you can try:

  1. Restart your router. See if that helps.

  2. As a test, completely disable any anti-virus, firewall, proxy or VPN, then try again.

I have the same problem, using IMAP to recieve mails. I don’t receive any mails any more. I restarted the router and disabled the firewall and all filters, but still not receiving emails, although I can see them on my phone using outlook
eM client worked perefectly for years, is it possible that something changed following an update?
Lode

I tried both ways, but still not working.

Nobody can fix it
Luckily we did not buy yet.

@jetli Your error says that your server did not respond within 1 minute.

It is like you phoned someone, but it just rings and rings.

Some options to check are as I said above. If checking the connection by restarting the router and disabling the security applications did not resolve it, can you give the IMAP settings for the account as you have them in Menu > Accounts > IMAP tab.

Can you send using this account, or is it both send and receive that are not working?

Have you sent your settings to the provider and asked them what could be wrong with the settings? Sometimes providers move your account to another server, or increase their security and then what used to work doesn’t anymore.

I can send emails, but am not able to receive the emails.
