Re-activation issue after restoring factory settings.

I have had eM for about 6 months, last night i restored factory settings to get rid of Windows 10 (went back to 8), have reinstalled eM and recovered my activation key, however when i try to apply it i keep getting an error message ‘cannot contact activation server-action has timed out’.

It has appeared to fix itself after i rebooted, all of my emails are currently repopulating.
