eM randomly deletes emails
The mail client carnt randomly delete mail.
It has to be initiated either by a eg: rule setup on your mailbox server end, Or locally setup in eM Client, Or you may have another computer or device mail client with a rule setup to delete mail on the server. Or someone else has access to your mailbox like a family member or an unknown person and has manually deleted or moved it to a differant folder.
So first thing go online to your mailbox and look for any mail rules or filters setup to delete or move mail.
Next if no rules or filters setup in your mailbox online, go to eM CIient rules via “Menu / Rules” and look for any rules setup to delete mail or move mail to any other folders etc. You can dblclick the rules in eM CIient to view whats in them.
Now if there is no rules setup in eM CIient to delete or move mail to other folders etc, then check all yiur other computers and devices to make sure no other mail clients have rules or filters setup to delete mail.
Next if no other mail clients or devices configured to the same account have rules or filters setup, then suggest to check with any family or other household members if anyone has deleted mail recently.
Lastly if no family or other members have deleted mail, then suggest to change your password online in your mailbox and close and reopen eM CIient and update the new password if its a manual acct setup.
The same thing happened to me.
Since it was messages from subfolders, it can’t be automatic rules.
Same mailbox, no problem with Thunderbird.
So it can’t be server rules (which are also not possible in subfolders)…
