Hi everyone,
I am using eM Client 10.4.5326 (97a2e75).
I’ve had some QuickTexts saved and working well for the last couple of years. However, recently (the last few weeks) I’ve been getting replies from some of my clients, that the emails I’ve sent them (that I created using the QuickTexts) are ‘blank’ and don’t show the body of the messages.
If I check them in my Sent folder, they appear just fine.
At first I thought it may be that I’d somehow disabled HTML email formatting or that my clients had done the same, but no. HTML email is enabled at both ends. Some clients that received the ‘blank’ emails are using Outlook, Gmail or other webmail solutions, and they have previously received emails sent using these QuickTexts before, and it seems to be random who is affected and who isn’t.
It’s taken me a couple of weeks to determine what I think is happening, but I don’t know WHY it has suddenly changed.
It tunes out that when I use the QuickTexts now, that the font colours are wrong. e.g. the font foreground colour has changed to white, and the font background colour is also white! Therefore my clients are seeing (or not seeing as the case may be) white text of a white background, making it appear ‘empty’.
Before I discovered that these font colours had changes, I did recreate some of the QuickTexts from scratch, but the problem persisted - I didn’t think to check the font colours in the QuickText editor, as I could plainly see the text just fine as I was editing them.
I do have my eM Client appearance using a ‘Dark mode’ theme, but it’s been like that for a long, long time, and I haven’t had this issue with the QuickText font colours until recently, so I’m assuming it’s not related to my theme colours, and is possibly a bug in the latest eM Client update?
This is also affecting my staff member as well (using same eM Client version and same QuickTexts), so it’s not limited to just me.
Has anyone else experienced this?
