Purchased a license for a friend now confused

I upgraded from free to Pro 4/6/2015.  Recently I purchased one for an older friend of mine who needs assistance and loves your program on Aug 22, 2017.  I still have the order id.  I tried used his name however, I did use my email address.  It looks like all I did we re-purchase the my existing license ID.  If thats too bad on my part so be it.  But your purchasing system makes it really hard to purchase a license for another user.

I think that the system uses the email address as the user id. But you can purchase additional licenses using the same email address as you discovered. They will all use the same activation key. In the license manager at https://licensing.emclient.com/ you will be able to see how many users you have on that license.
