Process to revert from 8 to 7 without data loss?

Hello,

In case my column display issue of searches in sent items does relate to ver 8, is there an easy way to revert to version 7 (btw 7 was never installed on this machine, we went straight to 8).

If you go from 7 to 8 you have an option to backup all your data but since you never had 7 I believe your stuck in 8.
