Problems with using a pre-existing Archive Folder

I recently started using eM Client, but I’m having problems using an already-existing folder in my gmail account named “Archive.” Despite there being emails in this folder, I can’t get them to load in eM Client; eM Client simply shows that folder as empty.

I have verified through Thunderbird as well as simply logging into my gmail account through a browser that there are emails in that folder.

I have also verified that auto-archiving is off.

Any advice on how to proceed? I’d rather not rename my folder.
