Working with a client who has been experiencing problems sending emails. They are running version 6.0.22328.0 and I have run through all server settings and those are correct. Any ideas what may be the problem?
It was working correctly for them until their internet connection went down and then since that has been up and running all emails they are trying to send are just sitting in the outbox.
Hello Natasha, what mail service are you using with eM Client? Are you seeing any errors thrown by the application when you try to submit the message through eM Client?
If you’re seeing any errors, please make a screenshot of the error and submit it to us here on the forum for more information about the error.
The client is using hosted email, set up with ourselves, as opposed to something like gmail etc. See attached screenshot when running diagnostics -
Are you seeing any errors thrown by the application when you try to submit the message?
If not, please enable SMTP logging in Tools > Settings > Advanced and try to replicate the issue - submit an email and try to diagnose the SMTP protocol - if the issue persists, please restart the application and navigate back to the advanced settings window.
Submit the logs to us and include a reference link to this forum topic for more information about this error.
Also are you using any security software on your computer that may have disabled the applications ability to connect to your mail server? If so, please try to temporarily disable such security software and check if the issue persists.

Can you please switch to the “Log” tab when the error occurs, copy the content of the log and submit it to us here on the forum for more information about the error?
It seems like your client may have exceeded the maximum number of messages that can be sent through the server, this is most likely a server issue or a matter of your server settings.

Hi, actually the problem has reoccured. When connected via a mobile dongle, emails send ok but when connected to the office wifi, they don’t. Very odd. Any ideas?
Hello, this unfortunately points out to a network issue, your office setup may have disabled the ports necessary for sending out the message or there’s a company firewall that blocks the connection to the server, check with your IT department in order to find out what are the network settings and possibly adjust the server settings in your application
