my emclient has been frozen all day and keeps giving the message: "Password required - Internal error accessing the mailbox. I have repaired and reloaded, and rebooted but still no success.

Hi, totally thank you for asking me. I believe that this happened because the account was globbed up…“technical term” for internet traffic jam, on the day I posted this. I suspect, due to the coronavirus that EVERYONE was online. Our local Spectrum may not have had the juice to deal with all the traffic. I occasionally get this error, but for the most part things seem to be back to “normal”…which was that this shows up occasionally…annoying, but mostly harmless.
It could be an issue with the server.
One thing you can check is your settings in eM Client. Go to Menu > Tools > Accounts and click on the IMAP tab. Make sure you have either port 993 (Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)) or port 143 (Use SSL/TLS if available)
