Having difficulty downloading update 8.2.1659.0 Appears to be downloading ok but after about 10 mins download appears to stop and all freezes. Any suggestions? Is this new update essential?

Thanks, update now downloaded successfully to Downloads file. Do I now install directly from there? Not sure how to proceed and dont want to upset otherwise excellent app!

Yes, all you need to do is to double click the downloaded file to install…BUT
before you do you are best advised to ALWAYS make a backup…
Menu ->Backup
Just in case something goes wrong - if this should happen the backup will let you
to return your installation of eMC to the exact state at the time of the backup.
