I have the Samsung Email application on my Galaxy 21 Ultra and my wife has the Apple Email application on her Iphone 13. Our phones are linked to our email address. For around 6 months now, our mobile phones have been receiving the emails contained in our EMclient inbox (pc computer) despite the fact that these have previously been deleted from our phone applications. It happened again today, and i found these duplicated emails in our pc email deleted files section as we have duplicator activated and of course they downloaded again our our phones. Does anyone know the cause of this problem and how to fix it?
eM Client doesn’t sync directly with your phone. Rather it syncs with your email provider’s server, and the phone also separately syncs with the same server.
So you can open the webmail interface for your email provider and check if the messages there are the same as the ones in eM Client. If they are, then eM Client is syncing correctly.
If the messages in eM Client are not the same as the ones in webmail, then there will probably be an error in syncing. You can right-click on the email folder in eM Client and choose Properties > Repair > Repair and see if that corrects it. (For Gmail and Google Workspace accounts, you need to right-click on the All Mail folder instead). If it doesn’t, you can go to Menu > Operations > Log tab and look for an IMAP error.
Thanks Gary. Contacted Optus and they’re looking into it. Apparently they’ve had a number of complaints but obviously haven’t fixed it yet.
