Postcode and printing of contact list

First of all: eM Client is a great app. Quick and with many features.

But there is one thing, I would like to see improved. It’s about the printing of contacts in a list and the postition of the postcode there. It’s behind the name of the city.

I don’t want to warm up an 3 year old post, which does not exactly name this problem
https://forum.emclient.com/emclient/t…

In Germany, the postcode is written before the city name. All European countrys I know do it the same way. I looked it up in wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postal_…

»Placement of the code

Postal services have their own formats and placement rules for postal codes. In most English-speaking countries, the postal code forms the last item of the address, following the city or town name, whereas in most continental European countries it precedes the name of the city or town. When it follows the city it may be on the same line or on a new line. In Belarus, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine, it is written at the beginning of an address.«

Perhaps I’m looking like a smartass now. But it really bothers me, believe it or not.

Maybe you can change the placement of the postcode in non-english language version of eM Client?

Best regards,

Michael

Hello Michael,
thank you for your feedback about this, I can’t promise such change right away, but I’ll mark your thread as an idea so our developers can notice this when they go through the forum feature requests.

Regards,
Olivia
