When I click on reply all at the top of the screen only the sender is prepopulated in the to field of the new message. However, if I click reply all from the drop down list (under time) inside the message pane then both the sender and the other receiver are in the to field as you would expect. I’m using the latest version 7.0.27943.0 on Win7 64-bit. Thanks.
Hello Doug,
could you perhaps post a screnshot of where you’re clicking when the Reply all does not seem to work correctly?
Does it happen on all mail accounts or perhaps just some messages?
It only happens with this one message thread. I did some experimenting and I know whats happening. So I received a message addressed to myself and marc from kevin. First, I replied to kevin only. Then I tried to reply all to both kevin and marc. This is where the behavior of the two reply all methods diverges.
Clicking the top reply all will only reply to the recipients of the last message in the thread (kevin) and NOT the recipients of the original message (kevin, marc). However if I click reply all from the drop down menu in the original message I get a message addressed to both both kevin and marc.
Of course now that I’ve gone through the exercise I can see this is totally consistent and expected behavior and not a “bug”. However, in the screen shot you can see that I have the original message shown in the message pane. Its understandable now that my confusion came from seeing the original message displayed and having the two methods produce different results. Thanks.
Hello Doug,
thank you for explaining the situation, I am glad it all cleared up in the end
