I am afraid that I am experiencing similar problems as other users with passwords. I have Sky Mail and keep getting a message stating either server unauthorised or server rejected credentials plus a message asking forpassword and user ID details. I have tried a number of settings but none clear the error messages. When running the diagnostic, sometimes I get OK on both IMAP and SMTP, but at other times SMTP shows as faulty. I have used the advice given to other users in that I have used the User ID without the @sky.com, but that did not work. I have also disabled Calendar and Contacts which was an earlier suggestion, but that also did not work. Grateful if someone could advise on a way of clearing this fault.
Hello, not quite sure if this solution was included for the @sky servers, as this was an issue with Yahoo accounts in the past. What version of eM Client are you currently using on your computer, can you please check the exact release number in Help > About? Are you using any security software on your computer, that may have disabled the application’s ability to connect to the server?
If the application is showing this error/warning it is being denied access from the server using this credentials, can you try to re-setup your account in eM Client using the automatic setup and check if your credentials or server settings are auto-detected correctly or if the newly setup account is having the same kind of issues?
Thank you,
Thank you. I am using version 6.0.22344.0 and Avast anti virus. I have set up the account automatically and it was rejected, possibly because it used bofor and not [email protected] When I used the latter, the diagnostic accepted the IMAC and SMTP details. I closed the anti virus and iit worked for about 15 minutes, but I am now getting the same messages. It appears not to like Yahoo mail.

I’m afraid this suggests your security software is blocking the connection, please make sure to setup an exception for eM Client to allow it’s access to the server and check if the issue persists.
REgards,
Thank you, but it is not thesecurity software. I have disabled it, and the fault is still there.

I m now getting problems with the IMAP settings which keep changing. I am afraid that I have had enough of these random problems and am going to find another email client or revert to Outlook.
