password issue

Running eM Client on Win 7 w/GMAIL It presents logon screen indicating PW is incorrect. PW is correct & used online. Is this a cached value I can remove or change, or must I uninstall and reinstall the application? Help appreciated. 

Hi, if you’re absolutely sure with your credentials, can you please try to access this setting with your google account: https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps , and try to set the option to “Enable”.
Recent changes on Google’s server authentication can cause this issue to occur with some google accounts and require this option to be enabled for use with external applications using regular password authentication.

You could also setup a two step verification option for use with your google account and generate an App Specific password for eM Client, to avoid using this setting in “Enable” mode.
