Password assistance

The app requires a password to work, but I don’t see anywhere to enter it. Can you help. Can I only import emails from Outlook or Thunderbird? My server is roadrunner email.

I assume you are trying to add a POP or IMAP account that still uses a username and password.

If you have a older mail server that still uses a username and password to connect for a POP or IMAP account, then go to “Menu / Accounts” (PC) or “eM Client / Accounts” (Mac) and click “Add Account / Mail / Other” and you can the choose between an POP and IMAP account where you can then enter your mail server settings manually and enter your assigned mail server username and password for your mail account.

Also if it’s a POP account, at the end of the mail setup you can specify whether you want your messages in a “Separate Folder Tree” or “Store messages in Local folders”. So remember to choose before finishing as you can’t change later.

Lastly some mail servers with POP accounts also now require a 2FA with App password as well when settings up the account. So if yours does, enter that instead of your usual password.
