Outlook.com SMTP connection failure on updrading to eM Client 7

Everything was working fine with the latest version of eM Client 6.  I
recently upgraded to eM Client 7, importing everything from version 6.  Since then, I am unable to send emails from my hotmail.  They are stuck forever in outbox, while I am getting the following error message:

[SMTP] An attempt to connect to …@hotmail.com failed.  This could be caused by temporary server unavailability or incorrect settings.  Do you want to check the settings?

Current settings are as follows:

Host:  smtp-mail.outlook.com
Port: 25
Use SSL/TLS if available

Use port 587 and "Force usage of SSL/TLS

The settings John A recommends are the same I use for my Hotmail account in eM Client 6 Pro.
