Outlook.com folders not all loading, displaying. Free/Demo version, by design or bug?

Some of my Outlook.com email folders should have an Inbox (as in Outlook.com, connected email addresses) but the Inbox is not displayed.  The folder shown is not loading with email.

What am I overlooking?
The setup was automatic, one Microsoft account.  These folders and contents are shown in other email clients…
I would like to see everything opertate before buying.

And help appreciated.

Concluding (?) from the amount of issues with Outlook.com - Accounts
(esp. compared to other eMail-Providers)
I am willing to think that it is “by design” - by Microsoft.

Since they want you to use their Web -Service …
(to collect as many Data and Information as possible from and about you)
… I can hardly imagine that MS wants you to use an eMail-Application

Hello Edward,
are there any errors in the Menu>Tools>Operations>Error window?
If so, can you copy them and the content of the Log tab?

Otherwise, the default setup for Microsoft accounts at this time is IMAP but that is because the migration to Exchange protocol did not happen at once to all accounts.
If your account is already migrated to Outlook Mail with EWS protocol, I suggest setting up your account as such; go to Menu>Tools>Accounts and in the New Account window choose Mail>Exchange and set up your account again (Username is the same as your mail address)

Olivia

Olivia,

I have removed and setup the account again choosing Exchange.
Now all folders and email is present.

However, I am now getting a Contacts sync error.
The Calendar and tasks are fine.

This is the log.

Any advice appreciated.

Hello Edward,
please screenshot your Account setting window for me (the tabs for this exchange account in Menu>Tools>Accounts).
Also set up Exchange logs

  • Go to Tools>Settings>Advanced and check EWS logging for this account.
  • Restart eM Client
  • After this error pops up go to the Advanced settings again and click ‘Send logs’
  • Change the recipient to [email protected]
  • Add the screenshots of your account setting and the link to this forum thread
I will analyze the files and return with a solution as soon as possible.

Regards,
Olivia

I did find the Enable diagnostic logs for: Exchange Web Services(EWS).
The EWS logging was under Accounts, Diagnostics.
I have had it on since I posted the first log.

I will email it to you.
