Outgoing SMTP Mail Fails

2:06:01 PM     “A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond”

Is the message that the log reports when the error occurs. I am using version 7.1.30508.0 on Win10 and am trying to connect to an enterprise gmail server.

Host: mail.*our domain name*.com
Port: 110
Security Policy: Use SSL/TLS if available

I also use gmail enterprise and your settings seem strange.  Try:

Host:  smtp.gmail.com
Port:  587
Security policy:  Force usage of SSL/TLS.

Thank you for the suggestion but that didn’t work either.

Then my guess is firewall or antivirus software issues.  Try disabling them one at a time and see if you can send.
