Outbox problem / multiple email sending

Hello,

I have a really annoying problem with my Outbox.
It happens to me quite often that I send emails, I get an Error Message (different kinds, but that’s normal since we have an internet provider issue in this area) and email gets stucked in the Outbox. Once internet is back, mail stucked in the Outbox keep on sending (dozens of times!) until I erase it.

Anybody knows what could I do?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Nacho,
what email account does this happen on? What email protocol does it use (POP/IMAP?exchange)?
When it happens next time, please go to Tools>Operations>Log window and copy out the full log here.

Regards,
Olivia

Thanks for your reply Olivia,

This is what I see in the Log window:

I am sorry this is partly in French.
I guess it’s POP.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Nacho,
this is only a small part of the log, only documenting the connection error and not the sending one.
You can select the full log clicking inside the window and holding Ctrl+A to Select all and then copy the whole log out.

Regards,
Olivia

Hi Nacho,
unfortunately there seems to be some strange SMTP error and the webpage the log sends me to does not help much.
Go to Tools>Settings>Advanced and turn on SMTP logging for this account.
Restart eM Client.
Replicate the issue.

Then go back to advanced settings and Send the logs to [email protected] with a link to this forum topic, so I can get back to you.

Regards,
Olivia
