I have a valix mx record for my domain, OS X can auto configure mail settings for Mail/Calendar/Contacts just fine, but eMClient can not. It’s complicated to configure carddav and caldav manually. What has to be in Place for OS X Server autoconfig?

we are using Mac OS X for our server also and so we know that it should work automatically.
You can use Fiddler - it debugs your http communication, eM Client sends request to server’s address /AccountsConfigService/api/ and server should respond with proper settings.
your problem is that server returns your settings wrong or does not respond at all.
