When opening mail attachments, I receive error message stating “Windows cannot access specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the items.”
Using eM Client for Microsoft Store, have paid subscription. Running:
eM Client Version: 8.1.1054
Windows 10 Home Version: 20H2
One possible solution: Disable your antivirus software temporarily to see if that fixes the issue
The issue Windows cannot access the specified file may be caused by the antivirus program. Therefore, in order to solve the problem, you can temporarily disable it.
If you can open attachments then you should change permissions in your AV or firewall and whitelist eMC.
