When I’m in the Mail app and then click on Calendar, it comes up for a second, then crashes em Client. Has to rebuild “corrupted” database and then restart. Then I try again - after getting out of the app, restarting the computer, and the same thing happens every time. Never did this before
What version of eMC are you running?
I’ve also not been able to get through a full update successfully for awhile.

Your version is dated 12/3/2018… somewhat old.
Without knowing what your update problems are, the easiest option would be to do an eMC backup, uninstall (do NOT delete the database), reinstall using the latest 7.2.50008.0 version from https://www.emclient.com/release-history?os=win
Of course if you do not feel comfortable doing this then wait for other volunteers to comment.
