onmicrosoft.com email issue

For various reasons I won’t go into I have a Microsoft home email on [email protected] (for example) and a 365 account on richard@domain,onmicrosoft.com, which is linked to [email protected]

Email to [email protected] goes through 365

When I set this up in eM I seem to be able to do it ok and it works for a while but eventually it wants to be reauthenticated, and then I have an issue as I just can’t get it to be happy.

It pops up the Microsoft login pre-filled with [email protected] so I can’t properly authenticate with 365. It thinks its the home account.

Is there a way to adjust the account settings to get this to work?

If your Office 365 account sets up as Exchange try adding it “via the Manual option” in accounts via going to “Menu / Accounts” and clicking “Add Account” and selecting the “Mail tab” below it.

Then click on “Exchange” icon and follow the wizard and “enter your onmicrosoft email address” and password and see if that remembers it.

If your account only adds via the automatic account wizard with an OAuth token at the end, then suggest to go to your account online and “remove the OAuth token” and try readding the account again as it could be possibly a corrupt token.
