Odd behavior with placeholders

Hi:

I am a new user and enjoying using eMClient after moving from 30 years with The Bat. It is different for sure, lacking The Bat’s level of customization, but I find it less clunky and more responsive.

When creating a template and using a placeholder followed by a punctuation, I see an extra space inserted. To illustrate:

Intended
Placeholder:
or
Placeholder.

Actual result:
Placeholder .
or
Placeholder :

An unwanted space is being inserted. I can manually correct (if I catch it) when creating the template, or when I see the results before sending a message.

I think this is a bug. Or is this intentional and I am missing something.

Thank you for your help.

Jon

I am re posting this because it occurs to me that the issue I raise is subtle and may be missed. I have replaced the unintended space with an underscore to make plain the problem.
