Novice sorting question

I just transferred from Thunderbird. Everything is mostly OK.
I want my email so that the top one is always the newest.

Now, I get email threads so that the thread itself is opposite, the newest in the thread is the bottom in the second screen!

How I can make that reversed? I cannot see any option.
Why there is no sort options in threads view?

You can’t reverse the order of messages in a conversation, that is why you have not been able to find an option.
