Hello, I’ve added my GMail account to eM Client and now I got a problem - I’m only receiving notifications if I get a message in the Inbox folder. But if I receive a message in a different custom folder, even though eM Client does show there are new messages in the main window, I do not see any notifications. I have to check them manually.
Sounds like something easy enough to fix. So please, can you fix it?
Thanks for advance.
Hello Kamil,
unfortunately this is a designed behaviour of the application.

Olivia
Thank you for response, but why not make it so the user can choose whether this should work one way or another? eM Client already keeps track of new mails coming to other folders, isn’t it just a matter of making the notifications include new messages from those folders?
Folders help me a lot with keeping my messages organized, and I’m sure a bunch of people also make use of that functionality. If I got to choose between removing folders so I can receive notifications on eM Client properly or just finding an another mail client which will not lack such functionality, I would definitely choose the latter.
I’m looking forward for improvements!
Hello Kamil,
when the message has been received by your server and categorized by your server rules, it is just synchronized to the folder in eM Client, not viewed as a new message. It could cause issues with older unread mails from the other folders.
If you have rules set up inside eM Client, the notification will pop up before the rule is applied.

Olivia
