not receiving mail

Just move house, turned on computer to find that I am not receiving mail on eM. I have checked all my settings with my provider and they are all correct. I am able to pick up mail on my phone and tablet so I know the problem is with eM.

When doing a diagnostic The POP3 is Ok but I can’t send messages and the SMTP fails.

Any suggestions please!

PS; Just realised I had this problem 6 months ago and it was fixed by powering down the modem and then switching it back on, I have tried this again today but has not worked. - Should I keen trying?

PPS: Resolved switching the modem on and off did the trick, but it needed to be done a few times.
