Not able to filter by (or show folder of) sync-ed server tags on Android

The eM Client is one of the very rare Android apps that allows Outlook email users to see / add / change / remove Outlook email Categories (within eM Client they are shown as sync-ed Tags; that is in opposition to local tags). Infamously, not even the Outlook app can do that on Android after years of having been launched.

It is awesome that eM Client allows us to do all that. However, currently there is some sort of a bug that makes all that much less useful: only local Tags are listed as filtering option when I click on Filter / With Tags. The sync-ed Tags from Outlook Categories that I can see/add/change on the emails themselves are not listed as filtering options. Similarly, if on the Settings I choose to display a Tags folder on the left folder panel, only local Tags are listed there as well.

Could you please look into correcting that? Currently this behavior makes for a huge missed opportunity for those like me who are interested in the eM Client as a way to bypass the incompetence of the Outlook app.

Thanks!

Yes the Server Tags / Labels don’t show in the filter top right of the Inbox in a Gmail or Outlook IMAP account. Only Local tags as you said. I don’t know if they show in an eg: Exchange account, but I suspect they don’t either.

I also would like them to show in the filter. I would suggest to send that feedback to [email protected] to hopefully add in future.

However if you press the “Search icon” to the left of the filter, and then press “Advanced” and then press the “Tag” dropdown on the far right as per the below screenshot example, “the server tags will then show” (below the local tags). You can then also create a eg: Search folder which then shows on the left of eM Client if you want.

Thank you very much! Although a bit cumbersome, that does help working around the problem for now (also, searching for targ:“tagname” seems to work well).

I will send a feature request as you suggested. Because it would be really great if Server Tags would show up in the filter menu and in the tags folder, like I mentioned. Bonus: it would be fantastic if we could also filter by tag when simply clicking on their icons present in tagged emails.
