No texteditor for Contacts Notes in database (.emdf)

  • OS: Windows 11 Pro for Workstations, Build 26200

I was glad to see that text for Notes field in the Contacts were imported from Oulook Classic to eM Client with the text format intact. Very good! :slight_smile:

But, if i import to an .emdf database the formatted text goes away if/when i edit the text. However, if either import or move the Contacts to Local folders everything works as expected, iow that i can edit the text without loosing the formatted text.

I noticed that text formatting, etc is aviable when contacts are in the Local folders but non-existent if the same Contact are in the .emdf database.

I will use .emdf databse, so it is important for me.

  • Why is that, iow no text editor if a Contact is in an .emdf file?
  • Any plans for text editor for .emdf databse Contacts?

None of my eg: IMAP account Gmail, iCloud, Outlook, Yahoo or other IMAP accounts have those Contacts / Notes formatting toolbar text editor options either.

Only Local Contacts appear to have those Contact Notes / Toolbar formatting options. Might need a Sleekplan suggestion for that. Be good to have those added to all account types.
