No Incoming Mail Sound

As the Title suggests I’m not getting any sound when I get incoming mail even though I have assigned a .wav file to it in Notifications.
I searched for this issue on this forum but don’t have the time or patience to look through hem all.

Any ideas??

I unchecked ‘Use system notifications’.
Now the sound fires.
Not sure why but I seems okmnow.
