In the blog post “Simplify emClient Address Book with Categories” it says there should be a list of categories in the left sidebar of Contacts. I don’t see any list of categories there, just a list of accounts.This sounds like a really useful feature - how can I get the category list to appear?
Hi, can you make a screenshot of your contacts left sidebar?
If you just see a list of account, you have to open the tree folder for these contacts by clicking in the little arrow next to them.

Hi Paul, thanks for the reply. When I open the tree, it shows a single item called “card”, which seems to hold all the contacts. Screenshot attached.

Hi, unfortunately category folders for iCloud accounts are currently not supported.
Even though we’d like to add this feature to future releases, it might take some time.
I hope you understand and that you can manage to use the current settings.

Ok, thanks for the info. Would have been a nice feature, but not essential, as it’s possible to just sort the contacts by category instead.
